A Study on the Upper Extremities and Neck Pains among Female Textile Workers

Abstract
|
|
|
This study was conducted to investigate the relationship of job tenures and the prevalence and intensity of the musculoskeletal symptom for the body region of upper extremities, shoulder and neck with 841 female textile workers.
@ES The results were as follows:
@EN 1. The complained rate and intensity of pain was higher in the right shoulder and right hand than other body region.
2. The complained rate and intensity of pain was highest in the group having the work duration less than 1 year. In the group of work duration over 1 year the longer work duration, the higher complained rate and intensity of pain.
3. The relationship between the work duration and pain score was not influenced by the variables such as the work department, body mass index, injury except age variable.
